A federal judge in San Francisco has approved the video recording of the Prop 8 trial, set to begin Monday.
Progressive organizations, including the Courage Campaign, had advocated for live webstreaming or televising. Prop 8 supporters argued against it, saying that they worried anti-gay witnesses would face intimidation or harassment.
The judge says that the court will record the trial and then upload it to YouTube. There is no word on whether it will be uploaded daily or at a later date.
