GOP leaders, activists are set to attend high-profile LGBT events
Republican strategists, politicians and donors are flocking to some high-profile fundraising events to benefit groups such as the Log Cabin Republicans and the fight for marriage equality. The Log Cabin event will include appearances by top party committee chairmen, even though they are not supportive of many legislative agenda items favored by the LGBT community. "It would be irresponsible of me to not seek common denominators or common points of interest to build relationships with our conservative colleagues," said LCR Executive Director R. Clarke Cooper
