Equality Matters: The First Online March for Equality | Inauguration Week

The first VIRTUAL protest for LGBT Equality to educate Americans about what marriage rights mean to LGBT: tax fairness, hospital visitation, medical decision-making, exemption from estate taxes, immigration, government benefits & more.

Starting January 18: The idea is simple, but powerful: create a VIRTUAL protest during Inauguration Week. The goal is to educate American about the importance of marriage rights (and all equal rights for that matter) to LGBT Americans. There are more than 1138 rights and responsibilities afforded married couples by federal law including:

-- ability to file joint taxes

-- job security

-- hospital visitation

-- medical decision-making

-- exemption from estate taxes

-- spousal immigration

-- government benefits (social security, pensions, veterans...)
