Judge to hear arguments on whether to dismiss challenge to Ill. gay marriage ban

A judge in Cook County, Ill., is scheduled to hear arguments Tuesday on whether to dismiss a case challenging Illinois’ ban on same-sex marriage.

Circuit Judge Sophia Hall will consider a defense motion to dismiss the lawsuit involving 25 couples who filed for marriage licenses in Cook County and were denied.
