1800 people and organizations signed up to deliver testimony in person on Hawaii’s same-sex marriage bill yesterday. After more than twelve hours, the Hawaii Senate Committee on Judiciary and Labor passed Senate Bill 1, by a 5-2 vote. Now, the full state Senate will vote on the legislation, where it is expected to pass also.
The Hawaii House has already scheduled hearings starting Thursday morning, and their same-sex marriage bill also looks likely to pass.
