Urge Gov. Schwarzenegger to Sign 'Harvey Milk Day' Bill

Last year, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger vetoed the Harvey Milk Day Bill arguing that Milk, the legendary gay rights activist whose life inspired this year's Academy Award winning film Milk, was not worthy of national recognition.

People from all over California can write to the governor and let him know Harvey Milk is a civil rights hero “who truly changed the world and is worthy of a state day of special significance.”

Bill SB572 seeks to establish May 22nd as Harvey Milk Day annually.

Send a letter directly to the governor and tell him in your own words how Harvey Milk has impacted your life and why he is a stellar hero for the great state of California.
